|講演タイトル||"Molecular analysis of plant virus accumulation and spread: Emphasizing the requirement for host actomyosin system and optimized statistical analysis"
Plant viruses accumulate components (RNA and protein) in a host cell that interact with host component(s) to promote their accumulation and spread. Understanding these interactions mechanistically will aid researchers in developing methods to control virus accumulation and benefit agriculture. A summary will be given of the infection process and some known virus-host component interactions. The formation of intracellular granules or bodies containing virus components by several viruses and the influence of microfilaments and associated myosin (actomyosin) cytoskeletal components on their intracellular movement and associated virus intercellular movement will be presented. Vacuole dynamics are also influenced by microfilaments. An interaction of host Qa-SNARE proteins (syntaxin of plants 22 and 23:SYP22 and 23), associated with pre-vacuolar compartments and vacuole membrane fusions, with the Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) 126 kDa protein, required for virus accumulation and intercellular spread, will be shown and the importance of this family of SYP proteins for TMV accumulation described. The presentation will end with a note about the importance of statistical analysis to strengthen conclusions or provide novel insights about the mechanism by which the system under study operates.
